The aim of disruptive design is on solving societal problems through using systems theory, sustainability science, and design methods. Disruption changes the way problems are solved, not merely improving on the existing approaches to solving problems. Innovation is a key concept. Occupational therapy education and practice are optimal targets for disruption.
